Children love taking photos don’t they?! Our Matthew is especially keen to take photos and he often borrows (or sneaks away) my phone to take pictures.
Recently, at Dark Mofo, Matthew took this pretty cool wavy photo of the flares that would ignite sporadically, causing quite a stir in the crowd. I am so glad he caught the moment and I love the artistic (even if by accident) effect of the blur in the glowing light.
Matty wanted to capture the moon in this photo, but his young hands are not very steady yet. I love the effect of the ‘jelly bean moon’ in this photo.
Matthew was taking photos of the ‘fire fairies,’ the sparks that erupt from the flames. The angle, the blur, the light all makes for a photo that captures the atmosphere of Dark Mofo quite nicely, I think!
Well, one day Matthew used my ipad to take these self portraits. This is a screenshot of them, which reminds me how cute he is to take an endless stream of self portraits…
… and the funny face self portraits that you find on your phone at random. What a cheeky boy!
And then there are the posed photos of loved ones. I love the photo and I love it that he asked to take it and arranged us for it.
Power on, dude.
