Kid friendly meatballs
There’s not much that’s not kid friendly about meatballs, but Matthew and Elora can be fussy with their food most of the time. We eat very healthy dinners, and healthy dinners don’t always appeal to small children, for some reason. They seem to like chips and sausages and easy food like that. I find it […]

24/9/12 – 30/9/12
30/9/12: a day out with the family for lunch and shopping, topped off by catching up with friends – a very good day! 29/9/12: I sat with Matthew for ages this afternoon. We chatted and played with his meccano. We made this robot, putting our ideas together to do good teamwork! Yeah! 28/9/12: driving home […]

Butterscotch Pudding
In the earlier years of our relationship, I would frequently visit Monte’s house. I’ve always been a bit besotted with Montague. My grandmothers always told me that fellas like a bit of good cooking, so I collected quite a few recipes before I got hitched to the love of my life. Yesterday I rummaged through […]

Fabric Friday: Spring Street
I love my collection of spring street fat quarters (image from here). I am inspired to make quilts and bunting for a shared kids’ room – my inspiration comes from here:

Elora’s cake
We had Elora’s birthday party whilst Gordon and Maxine were visiting. It was great to share the occasion with family. Elora loves owls so we made her an owl birthday cake. We have a tradition, Monte and I, of decorating the birthday cake together on the eve of the party. It’s a fun tradition! We […]

Holidays
Well, School holidays are over. I feel sad. It has been so wonderful, spending the time with our children. It has been great having Grandma and Poppa staying with us. I almost feel rested now but I could easily spend another few weeks on holidays, catching more snuggles with my babies. I miss them when […]

17/9/12 – 23/9/12
23/9/12: Elora’s 2nd birthday party was a really lovely event, made especially lovely by being able to share the day with Grandma and Poppa before they return to Adelaide. 22/9/12: Grandma and Poppa gave Elora an early birthday present. The entire unwrapping ceremony was so delightful, as she negotiated a few layers of wrapping paper […]

Fabric Friday: Urban Zoology – owls in pink
More on the bird theme. The owls are cute and I like the bright colours. Scraps leftover from making a little dress for Elora could be used for appliqué and buttons for accessories. I also think this would make such a cute sunhat.
