On Wednesday we drove into Hobart for our last clinic appointment before our baby is born. We got to drive through the snow. It was very pretty! It was nice and warm in the car and I took lots of photos. The roads were clear and the driving conditions were okay, but we went a bit slower than usual anyway. It amazes me how badly some people drive in those conditions: fast, passing willy-nilly and generally being stupid.
We still marvel at how beautiful the area that we live in is. We drive along the most beautiful river several times a week. We look out to beautiful mountains and landscapes every day, even from our own home. It is a constant reminder of why we chose to make the move to this picturesque valley.
It was snowing at our place earlier in the week. I sat in bed with my morning coffee(s), watching the rain/sleet/snow falling. It looked very pretty and very wet and very cold, and it was a lovely feeling to be snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug in bed, watching the weather do its thing. It was hard to capture the snow falling in a photo, but this is the best I could get. It is a view from our back door: some snow falling in the valley.
And, that’s a Tasmanian Spring for you. Everybody is talking about how exciting it will be when the weather is sunnier and warmer!
