Beauty

It was a bright sunny day yesterday, which was beautiful. But of course it meant that we were in for a frost the next day. Sure enough, this morning has been frosty! It is so cold!

But golly it is so beautiful. I drove Georgia to childcare and I am still in awe of the scenery. The fog sits down in the valley below, and the rolling hills are covered in white, and the deciduous trees cast a sparse silhouette over shiny, wet, green grass that sparkles like little diamonds. We walk on the grass, all frosted over, and it crunches under our toes. The sun shines, the sky is blue and it is glorious. It is freezing, literally, but glorious!

So, despite being very cold, we are still captivated by the beauty here. I can’t imagine ever taking all this beauty and freedom for granted, but maybe, when we have been here for a long time, we will.
