Homecoming

I am very blessed. I am blessed in many ways: loving family, wonderful children, brilliant husband, awesome inlaws. I am blessed with amazing friends too!

We came home from Adelaide yesterday. The flight was good, but my ears were not so good, and Matty was complaining about his ears too. The drive home from Hobart airport was long. I was looking forward to coming home, but I was a bit anxious about the small space and the cold, damp space.

But I need not have feared, for my friends had been little homecoming faeries and had been into the cabin, lit a fire, placed roses on the table and baked cookies! They even left some nice dry wood for us – and they even DID THE DISHES! (Remember that we had frozen pipes the morning we left, so I didn’t get to do the dishes.)

We are so grateful for our wonderful friends. We are completely blessed and I am so grateful to have met such lovely people!

We are equally blessed in Adelaide. Our friend Amanda had us to stay when we arrived, and for several nights we enjoyed her hospitality! Andrew and Jules have been very supportive and lovely friends for a long time, and it was fantastic to catch up with them – and their three gorgeous girls – before we left Adelaide. And I was very excited to see Brooke again. We have been friends for seventeen years! I loved seeing her children; they have grown up a lot!

So thank you, my lovely friends, for being so loving and caring and making my life a very happy one.
