I keep finding Elora’s writing all over the house. Most of the time it’s on her paper or scrapbooks or notebooks. Sometimes she traces her finger along the window and writes or draws on the windows thick with condensation.
Sometimes I find her writing on the walls, or doors, like in the above photo. I just found this writing as I walked into my room.
I was about to go into the living room, where the children are playing peacefully, to scold Elora. But then I stopped.
I’m just so glad that I have this girl. I’m so lucky to have her in my life. It’s such a miracle and such a blessing that any of our children are here.
Ok, so she shouldn’t be writing on my bedroom door, but it’s only done in pencil and will clean off easily. And one day I know I will look back and ache a bit for these beautiful years when my children were so little.
I’ll gently remind my girl that we don’t write on walls or rub toothpaste on furniture. I’ll give her a cleaning cloth and she’ll happily clean up the mess.
Well done, I don’t stop myself often enough, thanks for the reminder.
