Fabric Friday: Christmas!

I have made some Santa sacks for Monte and me. I’m pretty sure that Monte has been a good boy and that Santa will be coming to him this year. I am *hopeful* that he will be coming to me too. I made some sacks with some red, weird elasticky fabric and trimmed them with some Christmas fabric. They are a bit overkill for Santa sacks, as they are made with time-consuming French seams and lots of ironing. I’m not sure of their measurements because I basically quartered the red fabric and voila.

Although they are quite (shamefully) large for Santa sacks, they are not as large as the sacks I made for the children last year, which are made according to American sized pillows. Do the Americans use large sized pillows? They must. To make the French seam, no-seam trimming pillow cases for the children, I followed this tutorial – or one similar. They worked up quickly and the kids love them.
