Fabric Friday: pillow cases

One of the coolest things I did on my birthday was a lot of op shopping. I had some time off work to take Ella to an appointment. I bought these gorgeous retro pillow cases for 50c each. They are in superb condition and they are made of a close weave cotton. I am so tempted to sew myself a summer dress or skirt in this fabric, but let’s not get too hopeful. My poor sewing machine has been a bit neglected lately, and my sewing nook is used more for storing my work papers and books and computers, rather than reels of thread and piles of fabric. That’s depressing isn’t it!

Anyway, I’m enjoying seeing these lovely pieces of fabric on my dining table. I’m waiting to wash them up, before I stuff them in my fabric drawers with my other retro pillow cases!
