Treechange Tuesday: garden

If I was to do it all over again, I would spend more time developing the garden whilst building the house. I suppose my children would be older and more independent next time. I would have more time in the garden.

I’m looking forward to having more established plants. I long for some blossoming trees in our backyard – a crabapple and prunus, perhaps, planted by the cubby house.

I also would have liked more time to learn how to grow Veges better. They require time, energy and water, and we’re not putting much of any of those things into our Veges. I am sure that we will get into better habits and routines with our gardening. We’re harvesting tomatoes and zucchinis like no tomorrow. We have plenty of herbs and the potatoes and pumpkins will be ready for harvesting soon.

If we were to move off this acreage on the hill, away from the highest house in the valley to start all over again, I would get stuck into the garden straight away. But it’s not going to happen, so we’ll just work away at what we have – which is plenty.
