Chocolate fudge

Published by Rebecca on November 12, 2011

Do you remember my post about the chocolate brownie in a mug? You can read about it here. One of my friends made a dig at me for passing on that recipe to her, saying it helped her find some kilograms that she had lost. Easy to do! She still loves me :)

Well, This is even naughtier. I’m not claiming it to be my own recipe, but we did shuffle some things around to our liking and I thought I’d share it, given that it’s coming up to Christmas and we all want to find those lost kilos and help other people find those lost kilos by giving this as gifts etc :)

You’ll need:
A tin of sweetened condensed milk
250g dark chocolate
100g butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp chopped macadamias

(I just gained a few kilos by writing that down)

Then:
Melt the condensed milk and butter in the microwave (or stove top) on low. When it is melted, stir in the chocolate. Beat until glossy. I dare you not to taste test at this point. Then add the vanilla and stir. You can mix in the macadamias now, or add them to the mixture in the dish, last of all, pressing them in gently.

Allow the mixture to cool before putting it into the baking dish. Then spoon it into into a 20×30 dish that is lined with baking paper. This will give you thin slices; you could get thicker slices by using a 20×20 dish. Be sure to line it, and leave it in the fridge to set.

Slice it into even squares to give friends as gifts. Or enjoy it in the comfort of your own home!
