Happy New Year!
On December 27th we went to the snow at Hartz Mountain. Everybody in town was raving about how it was snowing, and we thought that we would go have a look. Afterall, it was our last chance to visit the snow in 2010!
Once at the mountain, Elora stayed cosy and warm in the car whilst we enjoyed the snow nearby. There was much snowball throwing and laughter, and we were actually snowed on during our little soiree in the cold. The pretty snowflakes fell lightly on our faces; the children delighted in it so much that it was enough to fuel my smile moments for a long time!
This adventure is another testimony to the beauty that surrounds our doorstep. Just the drive through the mountains to get to Hartz peak is lovely. We imagined that there were fairies and superheroes flitting amongst the ferns as we drove along the windy roads. Rays of sun shone through tall treetops, raindrops resting on branches sparkled in the sunlight and snow fell on the car, all adding to the adventure!
So there we have it… a white Christmas.
