Cousins Isaac and Georgia help Poppa blow out the candles

For Monte’s father’s 75th birthday, we flew to Adelaide to surprise Gordon at his party. And what a surprise it was! Nobody, except our friend Amanda, knew that we were coming to Adelaide, and we were almost surprised that we had managed to keep our little trip a surprise for almost 2 months before we arrived!

It was a lovely party and it was wonderful to see Monte’s parents so happy to see us arrive. I loved the sing-along at the party and the children’s favourite part must have been blowing out the birthday candles with their poppa! The food was great, the drinks were plenty, and it was marvellous to see my inlaws once again. It was great to see my nephew Isaac and my niece Lily, for they have grown up in the past 5 months since I saw them last.

Overall, we are very glad that we came back to share Gordon’s special celebrations.  It is so nice seeing the family again!
