Geeveston and our property, covered in frost
On the morning that we were scheduled to depart from Geeveston for our secret surprise trip to Adelaide, we experienced our first frost. The scene in the above picture shows the white/grey frost that covered everything in sight. Our animals’ water was frozen. Our pipes were frozen and even the animal droppings were frozen! The children were miserable with the cold and I was annoyed that I had not washed the dishes after having friends for dinner the night before, for we had no water, except for that which we had put into drinking bottles for our flight. Luckily we managed to have a couple of cups of hot coffee. Monte cooked a warm breakfast too. The water still had not come on when we left our place at 9am -such a good frost it was that rested over parts of the Huon Valley that day!
I must thank our dear friends Tania and Ady and Tanya and Jamahl for helping with the feeding of our animals and the washing of any dishes that has been done. We are so grateful for your friendship and support. Everybody back in Adelaide is very pleased we have met such delightful people. So thank you!!
