After two weeks of rippling, I am still really enjoying the process. I love the relaxing, Rythmic pattern of the crochet stitches. I love it that I have something creative to do and I am getting inspired to start a new project (once this one is complete, of course!).
I am about halfway – or 3/5 the way through this blanket depending on when I run out of yarn. It is going to be big enough to sit atop a single bed or along the bottom of a queen bed. I think it will make a nice gift. I’m still not completely sure who I am going to dedicate this one to.
To think that at the end of today I will have crocheted over 10,000 stitches I quite amazing. It is a small feat compared with so many things in our world, but for me this is exciting. I don’t think I have made anything this large before. Sure, knitted baby jumpers and hats and cardigans and booties, and small crocheted blankets, and beanies and scarves for adults and children – but nothing to this scale before.
It is so important to find the thing that makes you feel good and proud and happy and relaxed, and immerse yourself into it whenever you can.
Your work is so colourful. It is great to read you are enjoying doing this blanket.
