Well, School holidays are over. I feel sad. It has been so wonderful, spending the time with our children. It has been great having Grandma and Poppa staying with us. I almost feel rested now but I could easily spend another few weeks on holidays, catching more snuggles with my babies. I miss them when I work. I love the slow pace of holidays.
So, did I reach my goals?
My holiday bucket list
.rest a lot: yes (sometimes I even stole an afternoon nap whilst Ella slept!)
.go running at least 6 times: no, not 6 – weather too lousy to run much but I did do some excellent workouts
.share our adventures with the grandparents: yes, it has been super having them here, going to playgrounds, playing together, reading stories etc.
.take each child out on a date with mummy at least once: yes! Fun!
.finish my crochet scarf: no. It’s taking for ever. Very fine 2 ply angora.
.make 3 loaves of sandwiches for school lunches: no.
.bake 24-48 muffins for school lunches: yes! Banana, banana and choc chip and apple muffins.
.go for a family bushwalk: no. Lousy weather
.go on a picnic/diving adventure: no. Monte has an injury
.buy Georgia new school shoes: oops. No
.lose a kilo: yes
.plan for term three (work); yes – as much as is possible, I reckon
.cook yummy meals for the family: yes. I rock.
.bake some treats for afternoon teas in the sunshine!: baking yes – sunshine nonexistent.
.catch up with friends: yes. We have lovely friends, and the children had some lovely play dates as well!
9/15 isn’t too bad. The scarf will be finished soon and there is plenty of time to run. I’m happy with how my holidays turned out.
