Bushwalking

Published by Rebecca on May 13, 2011

We are lucky where we are living because we are surrounded by bush and forest, all containing tracks for walking. We live right near the Tasmanian Trail, which runs from Devonport to Dover. The trail consists of linked-up forestry roads.

On Anzac Day we decided to spend the afternoon going on a bushwalk. We started at the back of our property and did a 10 km bushwalk, looping back to our road. It took 3 hours, with a fair bit of stopping to check our progress (thankful for google earth! and amazed that we got 3G coverage!) as well as stopping so the children could have a rest and play – and so we could take photos as well.

Ellie seemed to like being on daddy's back in the Ergo :)

It’s just another one of those times when I am so pleased to be living where we live. We walk out our backyard into a forest. The children loved it too, and they did so well to walk so far and for so long. I loved it; such an adventure in beautiful surrounds and clear fresh air!

It was great walking and talking together

Our children are so blessed and lucky to live somewhere surrounded by such wildlife, flora and beauty
