Office

Monte is delighted to finally have an office space! After more than two years of working on an armchair with the laptop on his lap, he is now so happy to have a more comfy workspace that he is at the desk most of the time!

The office space was originally going to be a large linen cupboard. With all the other cupboards in the house, and the large space the cupboard was going to take up, I suggested extending the wall between the hallway and the kitchen and building an office space. I thought that we could cook dinner and watch the kids doing homework (I must’ve read that in a magazine somewhere). It turns out to be a great use of what could have been a dead space (if the wall wasn’t there) or just a big, possibly ugly, cupboard. I am still missing a linen cupboard, but I find that storing towels in the bathrooms, and sheets in the associated bedrooms is quite clever storage.
