Well, there’s still a lot to be done, but we only have Derrick for one more week and then we are going to clean up the house and move in! Hopefully the electrician will show up, and hopefully we will get the hot water system installed, but most things will be usable. Even if we end up having to have showers down in the cabin for a week or so – I don’t care – I just want to move in!
Work is being done on the bathrooms. Tiling, installing the vanities and doing the plumbing are all happening.
Doors are being hung, with the handles being fitted. We can almost clean up the bedrooms and shut the doors, until we move in the kids’ furniture. We still have to get blinds, and that is a dilemma because the curved walls surrounding the windows are wobbly, meaning not straight. Lovely and organic, lively and interesting, but difficult to get blinds fitted. We could get curtains, but then a portion of our windows will always be concealed. The hunt goes on.
