All speed ahead chez Fangorn. The cupboards have arrived. Most of them have been put together (except the doors – we wouldn’t want them to get scratched, besides, we have to have the cupboards in place before setting the doors). I came home today to see a lot of the cupboards in place. They are so big. I think of all that storage; compared to our little cabin, it’s an astronomical amount of storage! Yippee!

I’m feeling happier now. Each day I am up at the house (I have to remember to say “house” not “house site”), seeing so much progress. Our builders are saying 2 weeks to get it all finished. Can’t wait!

Kitchen

In the picture above you can see (to the left), our truth window. To the right is the larder.You can also catch a glimpse of the rounded windows, which we adore. The door on the bench is being painted. It’s not our choice of benchtop!

Laundry

Obviously there is work to be done. For instance, we need a washing machine in that back corner there, and a sink. And a bench. And a splashback. And more cupboards and coat hooks and shoe racks (left side)… Still, I am very excited to see the laundry at this stage!
